Parents With Mental Health Issues

Parents With Mental Health Issues

Southern Family Care work with parents who are dealing with mental health issues. We also work with their children to ensure that both receive the support that is needed.

We do this by going into families homes in order to understand the families’ perception of their needs and the issues they would like to address. The services we offer are flexible as far as possible, being available for demanding times in the day for example early morning, school run, bath time. Support workers also assist with practical tasks as well as providing emotional support. This service aims to improve the parent child relationship by enabling parents and children to have a better understanding of each other’s needs.
